There are two different types of minimal/simple makeup; the first being when you use as many products as humanly possible to make it seem as though you haven’t got much on and the second when you use as little  as possible. There are some days when I don’t want a lot of makeup on and this is when I like to make use of the latter, especially if I’m in a rush and what to look somewhat presentable for the world to see. Today was the second option.

Starting with the CoverFX CC Cream* which is a tinted moisturiser with a built-in primer and has a nice light to medium coverage with a natural finish, as it doesn't cover all of my problematic areas, I use the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer to conceal any dark circles and to hide my temporary scaring which leaves a nice and flawless, airbrushed appearance when blended with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I like a natural flush to the cheeks as the tinted moisturiser can somewhat eliminate it. The natural flush comes in form of the Topshop blush in Let HerGo which is a pretty pink with peachy undertones and a hint of shimmer which also replaces the need for a highlight.

Onto the subject of eyes, I personally find it difficult to apply anything to the eye area without having my eyebrows done, I recently picked up the Maybelline Brow Dramawhich I thought would be a great quick fix for those times when I’m in a rush, as it both tints and sets my brows which means in a few light strokes, my brows are officially done. Swiftly moving onto mascara, I use eyelash curlers for my lashes to make my lashes appear longer than they actually are. To make my lashes look lovely and voluminous, the Maybelline the Falsies mascara really flares and adds volume to my lashes. To finish of the more or less minimal look, a pop of colour on the lips is never bad, an easy to apply lipgloss in the form of the Maybelline Colour Sensational shine gloss in Stellar Berry which is a pretty lip gloss with a hint of shimmer.
